Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Loxx product-reviews application (the “App”). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.
1. The service
Loxx is a Shopify app that helps merchants collect, moderate, and display product reviews on their storefront. Features include multiple storefront review layouts, review moderation, scheduled publishing, CSV import, and aggregated analytics. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
2. Eligibility and accounts
To use the App you must have an active Shopify store and the authority to install applications on it. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Shopify account and for all activity that occurs under your store’s use of the App.
3. Subscriptions, billing, and trials
- The App is offered on paid subscription plans, billed monthly through Shopify’s billing system.
- New subscriptions may include a free trial. Unless cancelled before the trial ends, the plan converts to a paid subscription.
- Charges are processed by Shopify and appear on your Shopify invoice. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future charges but does not provide refunds for the current billing period unless required by law.
- We may change plan pricing or features. Where required, we will provide notice before changes take effect.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose.
- Publish reviews you know to be fake, or otherwise misrepresent the origin of reviews.
- Upload content that is infringing, defamatory, obscene, or violates the rights of others.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems.
- Use the App in a way that violates Shopify’s terms or applicable laws.
5. Merchant responsibilities for review content
Merchants are responsible for moderating the reviews displayed on their storefront and for ensuring their use of reviews complies with applicable laws and advertising guidelines, including rules on authentic and non-deceptive reviews. You are responsible for the content you approve and publish.
6. Intellectual property
We retain all rights, title, and interest in the App, including its software, design, and branding. These Terms do not grant you any ownership of the App. Content submitted by shoppers and merchants remains the property of its respective owners; by using the App you grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to provide the service.
7. Data and privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
8. Third-party services
The App operates on the Shopify platform and relies on third-party infrastructure providers. Your use of Shopify and other third-party services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for those services.
9. Service availability
We aim to keep the App available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend or limit the service for maintenance, security, or operational reasons.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us for the App in the three months preceding the claim.
12. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify store. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if required for legal or security reasons. Upon termination, the provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive will continue to apply.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
